The Board of the Learner Corpus Association (LCA) invites proposals from teams interested in hosting the next Learner Conference Research conference in 2024: LCR2026.

The event should be organized by a Local Organizing Committee (LOC) and will be expected to further the aims of the LCA, as laid out in its constitution. LOCs normally consist of a team of 3-5 members.

In order to be held under the auspices of the LCA, organizers must have their proposals accepted by the LCA Board. Advice and support will be available from the Board throughout the entire process, from proposal to event.

LCR conferences are normally held in September or early October from Thursday morning to Saturday lunchtime. They normally attract between 100-130 delegates. LCR2026 will be a physical event, although we welcome suggestions for an additional hybrid component.

Previous conferences have been held in Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium; 2011), Bergen (Norway; 2013), Cuijk (the Netherlands; 2015), Bolzano/Bozen (Italy; 2017), Warsaw (Poland; 2019), Padua (Italy; 2021). LCR2024 will take place on 26–28 September 2024 at the University of Tartu (Estonia).

The deadline for receiving proposals is 01 September 2024.

All applicants will be notified of the LCA Board’s decision at LCR2024, after which the decision will be announced to the public.
